“Nutrition”: the process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health and growth.

“Food”: something that nourishes, sustains, or supplies energy.

Processed "food" does not nourish the body, it causes more harm than good. The companies that created these excuses for food in a laboratory don't care about you or your health.  All they care about is profit margins.

I'm sure this is not the first time you have heard this call for mutiny against the processed food industry, but the fact is processed food is dead—void of nutrition. They "enrich" this "food" with synthetic vitamins the body can't absorb or utilize efficiently.

The truth of the matter is that natural whole foods, the way they appear in nature, are just that—whole and complete. They possess vitamins, minerals, fiber, enzymes, antioxidant and phytonutrients (these nutrients are what give fruit and vegetables their intense color and phenomenal nutrition value).

Knowing what to eat is half the battle—the other half is how much to eat of each food group (macronutrient quantities) and when to eat them (nutrient timing). Now this may all sounds very complicated and daunting, but I assure you I have a simple system to making eating properly very easy.

A quick word on nutritional supplements: these can be beneficial when used to supplement your whole foods diet, but they will not make up for an unbalanced diet of poor quality food.
